澳门六合彩资料 - Application Process

International Students

This page will show you how to apply to Acadia and what information you鈥檒l need to send us. We will base this on what you tell us about yourself. You can correct or complete the information below.

Admission requirements differ depending on your country's educational system. We review all applications from international students individually. You are encouraged to submit your application even if we have not listed admission requirements for your country.

When and What you need to Apply

When to Apply

You can apply to Acadia any time after October 1. However, you need to apply by March 1st if you want to be considered for an entrance scholarship. If you are selected to receive an entrance scholarship, we will notify you by mid-April.

To apply, you will need:

  • $40 CDN application processing fee, which you can pay online with a credit card
  • Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended
  • Official language test results (Acadia institution code 0901)

Applying online takes about 15 minutes. You can come back to the application form anytime; just make sure you save the sections you have completed before exiting.

Your application must include official copies of all your high school transcripts and other records of academic work, such as courses you took at a different college or university.

Mailing address for submission of official documents:

*Documents submitted in support of an application for admission are retained by the University and are not returned to the applicant. All received documents are electronically stored.

Transcripts

Transcripts should be certified by the school and prepared in a sealed envelope by the school. They can either be sent to Acadia directly from the school or given to you to send. Certified transcripts acceptable to Acadia will be used as a basis of admission.

Transferring from another school

If you would like to apply to Acadia from another university or college, you must have an official transcript sent directly from that institution for evaluation.

Transfer credits may be given for individual courses that are applicable to the intended undergraduate degree program of study. Course descriptions must be included with the transcripts.

Mature Student Requirements

Not all paths lead to starting university immediately after high school. If you are a mature student, our small classes and the strong level of interaction between our faculty and students may be the right fit for you.

A mature student is someone who:

  • plans to study on a full-time basis
  • has been out of high school for a minimum of four years
  • does not meet the published academic admission guidelines

As a mature applicant, you will need to provide:

  • transcripts of all academic work completed, such as your high school transcript and transcripts from any courses or programs you took at other universities or colleges
  • two letters of reference from employers
  • a resume
  • an outline of your future plans

and to be present for interviews if required.

We may encourage you to take up to 18 credit-hours of specified courses as an independent part-time student. A typical Fall or Winter course is 3 credit-hours, and a full-year course is 6 credit-hours.

If you achieve grades of C- or better in each of those courses, we will admit you to a degree program, and the credits you earned will count towards your program.

Send official transcripts by mail to:
